To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Amélie and its rerelease in numerous countries around the world, we invite you to recreate your favorite scene from the film in a single image: take a photo, send it to us, and you might win a poster of the movie signed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet!
Amélie captured people's hearts across the globe in 2001, attracting over 22 million spectators internationally to a film that has, over the years, been elevated to cult status. From Mexico to Italy, Japan to Denmark, the United States to Estonia, not to mention France, of course, we all have a little bit of Amélie in us!
So, let's have some fun: play around in the true spirit of Amélie and, using whatever you have around you, make, create, reconstruct your favorite moment from the film, placing yourself (or a loved one) in the scene to reproduce an "Amélie Moment"! Note that this must be a photo, not a video.
You have until August 31 to share your "Amélie Moment" with us, from wherever you are in the world: email it to contact@unifrance.org, with the subject: "Amélie Moment".
It is Jean-Pierre Jeunet himself who will select the five "Amélie Moments" that are the most touching or the funniest, with the winners receiving autographed movie posters. We will also post these five "Moments" on UniFrance's social media feeds.
