Gilles Lellouche, accompanied by Alain Attal and Hugo Sélignac, were in Israel from March 18 through 20 for two special preview screenings of Sink or Swim, distributed by Red Cape.
Presented at the French Film Festival in Israel Eden Cinema (an event organized by the French Embassy in Israel and Unifrance), Sink or Swim was also honored with a highly publicized launch in theaters in Israel, held in the presence of director Gilles Lellouche and producers Alain Attal and Hugo Sélignac. The trio introduced the film at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, followed by the Jerusalem Cinematheque, after which they attended a reception given by the French Ambassador to Israel, Hélène Le Gal.
The film's distributor Ben Kalifi (Red Cape) also took the opportunity of these special screenings to present an award to Alain Attal, which was handed to him by one of his colleagues dressed in swimming gear. And, to top it off, unbeknownst to Gilles Lellouche, each spectator was given a gift bag at the entrance to the theater containing a swimming cap with instructions to put it on when given a particular signal. Surprise guaranteed!
