During the beginning of the year, French short films have appealed to festivals in the United States, Australia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Germany, and Portugal, among which the prestigious Sundance and Berlinale film festivals.
Since the beginning of January, 89 short films have been selected for 6 international festivals with which UniFrance collaborates, with 4 titles winning awards.

Theatrical releases
This Magnificent Cake! by Emma De Swaef and Marc James Roels will release in American theaters on March 1, 2019. Distributed by GKids, the short will be programmed with Oh Willy... – the first film by Swaef and Roels – and with The Burden by the Swedish director Niki Lindroth Von Bahr. A program of multi-award winning films which will allow audiences across the Atlantic to (re)discover these talents of European stop-motion animation.
