The 22nd edition of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival in Prague (one of the biggest documentary festivals in Central and Eastern Europe) will take place from October 25 through 30, 2018. This year, there is a stand-out presence of French films, accompanied by an equally large artistic delegation.
Forty-four French documentaries, including 16 coproductions, have been selected for the 2018 edition, among which In The Realm of Perfection by Julien Faraut, NU by Blandine Huk and Frédéric Cousseau, and Flesh Memory by Jacky Goldberg.
Moreover, the Cinéma Vérité program will be an opportunity to show some classic films by the great names of French documentary filmmaking: Jean Rouch, François Reichenbach, and Mario Ruspoli.
France will also shine through its presence in the Virtual Reality section with 5 films: Dolphin Man VR (Benoît Lichté), Overview: A Walk Through the Universe (Amaury Solignac and Paul Mezier), Proxima (Mathieu Pradat), Being an Astronaut (Jürgen Hansen and Pierre-Emmanuel Le Goff), and Unrest VR (Amaury La Burthe and Jennifer Brea).
