Unifrance is leading the organization of a meeting between French sales agents and Russian distributors, to be accompanied by a preview screening of Victoria held in Moscow in the presence of the film’s crew members.
In response to declining attendance figures for big-scale French productions in Russia over the past two years (comedies, in particular), Unifrance will accompany 6 French sales agencies (Gaumont, Pathé, Goodfellas, Indie Sales, Memento, Other Angle Pictures) on a 48-hour trip to Moscow from October 11 through 13.
During this trip to Moscow, a round table will be organized with all of the Russian distributors at the Pioner Cinema (photo), followed by a luncheon with all members of the French delegation. In addition, visitors will be taken on a tour of various Moscow theaters (including multiplexes and art house theaters). A whole day will be set aside for sales agents to organize individual meetings with distributors, which will most probably be held in the distributors' offices.
In order to maximize this visit by the French delegation of sales agents, UniFrance and the distributor Capella Film will be hosting a preview screening of In Bed with Victoria by Justine Triet on October 12, in the presence of Virginie Efira, Justine Triet and Vincent Lacoste. A second preview screening of the film will also be programmed at the Yeltsin Center in Yekaterinburg on October 14.
