Three nominations for In the House and two for Blue Is the Warmest Color at the 26th European Film Awards, which will take place in Berlin on December 7, 2013.
The film by Abdellatif Kechiche, who has been nominated in the European Director category, is in the running for European Film, the top award, alongside two French coproductions The Great Beauty by Paolo Sorrention, and Blancanieves by Pablo Berger.
In the House has been selected in three categories: European Director and European Screenwriter (François Ozon), and European Actor (Fabrice Luchini).
Two of the three documentaries nominated for European Documentary are French coproductions: The Missing Image by Rithy Panh, and Stop-Over by Kaveh Bakhtiari.
The same can be said for the European Film Academy Animated Feature Film: The Congress by Ari Folman, and Jasmine by Alain Ughetto.
And last but not least, among the short films nominated for the European Short Film, Butter Lamp by Hu Wei will carry the French flag.
