Synopsis
Pierre Laval, who served as Prime Minister on several occasions, became one of Marshal Pétain’s key figures in the late 1930s; Pétain was a loyal collaborator with the Germans. From the roundup of Jews to forced labor and the hunt for members of the French Resistance, Laval faithfully served Hitler until the very end. When France was liberated, he was tried, convicted, and executed by firing squad.
