Synopsis
Following the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, Carmela joins the militias alongside thousands of women. Her fight is twofold: to confront fascism and defend the freedoms won in the Second Republic. In combat, a homemade grenade amputates the hand she had used to uphold her ideals and her weapon in defense of her rights.
