Synopsis
Sophie Humbert, a renowned criminal lawyer who heads a prestigious firm that works for the Prefecture of Police, among others, decides to defend Gabriel Etchegaray pro bono. Etchegaray, a minor juvenile offender, has just confessed to the murder of police officer Bertrand Malik. No one in her circle understands Sophie's decision. Why take on a case that would normally be assigned to a court-appointed lawyer? Why get into conflict with the Police Headquarters and compromise her reputation? Only Sophie knows that by saving this kid, she will be saving herself.
