Synopsis
Four months pregnant, Eugénie Zvonkine loses her second daughter, Marie, to a medical abortion. This personal trauma, known as perinatal grief, prompts Eugénie to embark on a cinematic journey. She films three other mothers, Juliette, Ikram, and Kamila, who have also experienced the loss of their baby. Together, they transform Le Sentier des absents into a quest to express the silent pain of losing a child. The film is an intimate exploration of their journey through grief, from darkness to dawn.
