The Shadow of the Beast
Synopsis
In a remote village in Provence in the early 1940s, nine-year-old Louis, accompanied by his faithful wooden dog Pegasus, investigates the emergence of a danger that is gradually encircling the locality. Lulled from an early age by adventure novels and books, Louis associates this danger with the return of the Beast of Gévaudan. When he's not spying, Louis discreetly observes conversations between adults and events that maintain the suspense about the origin of this danger.
