Synopsis
The members of the Arc-en-ciel home, an authentic community center in Marmande, are ordinary people but violated by life. Psychologically fragile, they are in the middle: neither sick enough to be taken care of by institutions, nor valid enough to face the violence of the world alone. They therefore find refuge in this incredible little house, their Noah’s ark, of which they are president, secretary, treasurer, and above all decision-makers of the activities. They manage themselves there under the leadership of Pierre, the founder of the place, who leads a daily fight to ensure its sustainability... This home turns out to be the last bastion of the methods of François Tosquelles, a brilliant psychiatrist who became a revolutionary by suppressing all visual, functional or administrative barriers between caregivers and patients.
