Synopsis
In 2006, Tidiane, aged 23, was one of the "1,000 de Cachan," a former resident in what journalists had dubbed France's largest squat. Originally from Ivory Coast, he had fled the war, leaving his two children behind.
I got to know him in a small hotel room in a commercial district in the Paris suburbs. There, he was waiting for his papers and housing, wondering what his future would hold. This is how this story of eleven years of his life begins, eleven years of dreams, doubts, choices, and unexpected events.
