One fine, sunny day, a tree sees a family arrive. The parents sit on a bench, the children play. The mother bites off a piece of thread and starts sewing while the father anxiously watches. During this time, Simon, the youngest child, plays with the tree and with the light through the rustling leaves. The father hums a Yiddish nursery rhyme to his little daughter. Time passes. The mother closes her sewing box and each parent and each child puts their jackets back on and walk away. Simon returns to the tree one more time, but everything is different.
