Synopsis
Special A/Effects evokes the fiction and artifice of filmmaking and its self-reflexivity and comedy to expose the brutality, meaninglessness, contradictions, solitude, happiness, and sadness of the strange work of the actor: that of constant repetition, of being commanded in blindness, of playing and faking roles as a profession to which you have devoted your life. Yet reality always lingers in the shadows, and inevitably emerges.
