Synopsis
This film takes a look at the social questions that have risen to the surface in France after the Charlie Hebdo attack in early 2015.
The main thread is based on the three fundamental French republican values: Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. Twenty people - academics, citizens, lay people - try to provide answers.
Securalism, national identity, banlieues, the economy, politics... Même pas peur is an account of the state of our society now which concerns us all. Far from clichés, Même pas peur brings different questions to bear on the subject, toppling prejudices and received ideas in a debate which is nevertheless not new. The responses to the questions may seem simple. However, they are deeply complex because behind them we discover different experiences, interpretations, and reactions. Même pas peur is not a film about fear, but a response to these fears.
