I went to Lisbon with my mother for the occasion of the editing of the movie The Strange Angelica Affair by Manoel de Oliveira, with desire to find memories of the cinema with which I had grown up. This new journey to Lisbon is doubled with a more internal journey, in the editing rooms of Manoel de Oliveira's previous twenty movies. While a suitcase closes others open.
White Gloves is a movie about cinema apprenticeship, about what the director and editor transmitted to me, silently, year after year.
