On March 11, 2009, the 1120 employees of the Continental tire factory in Clairoix received their pink slips. Although stunned by the news, those who will go down in the annals of history under the name of "Contis" were immediately convinced of one thing: whoever fights is not sure of winning, but whoever doesn't fight has already lost. Between public demonstrations and private discussions, the workers bring a pertinent and lucid gaze to bear on their work, society, and the economic crisis. On foot, by train, by car, empowered by their solidarity against a multinational's financial strategy, they write a page of social history.
