Winter in China. A town covered in snow. Night falls. Wrapped in a coat, a woman walks slowly through a block of buildings and then enters her modest apartment. Fengming settles into a sunken armchair. She recalls the past. Her memories take us back to the beginning, in 1949. And so begins a journey through more than 30 years of her life and of this new China.
