Synopsis
John Arthur Geall, English writer died in 1966 in complete solitude, left a work completely unfinished, never published in his lifetime. Character doubles, hidden behind an ordinary existence an an employee of insurances, he is rediscovered in Great Britain today. This movie reveals for the first time the incredible fate of a man whom many consider as one of the big English writers of the XXth century, but also as the biggest enigma of the modern literature.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager. At high school, she would like to be loved like she is at home and expresses it in an awkward way like when she exchanges a favor for a look, in the toilets.
