In Sète, Fabienne Bourrier, a police chief, spends most of her time chasing down illegal immigrants and overstayers of every kind. Her routine is disturbed by the death of Olga, a young prostitute. Presumed a suicide, Bourrier knows that Olga was in fact been chased and had a son, Ilan.
Driven by a feeling of compassion that even surprises her, Fabienne sets out to find the child who has gone missing.
