Clémence Vallardin, a business lawyer, has just opened her own office in a superb apartment in a chic neighborhood of Paris. This beautiful, determined young woman, who cherishes her independence, didn't hesitate to make her landlord believe that she was married in order to secure the lease. Minor details of this kind would never hinder Clémence, who generally always gets exactly what she wants! She spins the same tale for Cédric, her current beau. But Cédric is madly in love and is willing to do anything to please Clémence, even if it means offering her a piano. Cédric's tenacity begins to annoy the lovely Clémence. A fabulous fling, fine, but emotional dramas, no way! Marion, her former colleague and friend, just can't understand Clémence: why would she reject a gorgeous catch like Cédric? The famous piano arrives at Clémence's place, delivered by fortyish Farid. Clémence persuades him to pretend to be her husband, and asks him to come and live with her in order to get rid of Cédric. This is when the landlord comes to ask her to defend one his friends, the famous counsellor Etienne Lavoisier. but Farid has two daughters whom he's bringing up alone, and as though that weren't already enough, Clémence's mother then arrives unexpectedly. This merry band will try, like it or not, to live in harmony at Clémence's place.
