Synopsis
Each school holiday, Danièle accompanies her grandchildren in the train taking them to the south of France where her daughter’s ex-husband lives. This time, the father’s absence upon their arrival at the station allows Danièle to prolong her stay and enjoy the children’s company a little longer.
But within the model, dynamic and watchful grandmother there lurks a troubled woman. Fed up with her day-to-day routine and the people in it, Danièle now only finds a meaning to life through her grandchildren. She quickly reveals herself incapable of parting from them and the stolen holiday she embarks upon in their company irresistibly begins to seem more like a kidnapping.
