Solomon Kane
Synopsis
In a 15th century ravaged by war, Captain Soloman Kane is a formidable killing machine, as brutal as he is effective. Armed with pistols that have established his brand, along with his dagger and sword, he and his men give free reign to their bloodthirsty natures while fighting for England from one continent to another. However, when Kane decides to attack a mysterious fortress somewhere in North Africa, his mission will take a fatal turn... One by one, his men are wiped out by demonic creatures, until he finds himself alone and facing the Devil's envoy, who has come from the depths of Hell to take possession of Kane's atrociously corrupted soul. Kane manages to escape, but he knows that he must now redeem himself by renouncing violence and henceforth dedicating himself to a life of peace and purity. It is not long until his new spirituality is put to the test when he returns to England, which has been laid waste by evil men in the pay of a terrifying masked being called Overlord. Unable to prevent the brutal murder of the Crowthorns, a Puritan family with whom he has become friends, Kane swears that he'll find their daughter Meredith and free her from slavery - even if to do so means putting his murderer talents to use again, and therefore losing his soul. His quest will lead him to face his own family's darkest secrets, while the entire country is under threat...
