Pension funds, relocations, globalization are now part of our daily language, but they remain abstract, often worrying, notions. Through the rather atypical point of view of a company manager in the precision mechanics valley of the Haute Savoie, the film recounts this recent phase of capitalism dominated by global and implacable financial mechanisms.
Victims of their own success, all of the valley’s largest companies have already been bought out by financial companies whose only concern is maximum profitability in record time. It’s an illustration, at times amusing, more often cruel, of the culture shock between industry and the world of finance.
