Synopsis
Li Qi Ming, A teacher nearing retirement, comes to Wuhan to look for his son who he hasn’t heard from for some time. His wife is seriously ill and would like to see their son before she dies.
Li Qi Ming is welcomed by his daughter, Yanhong, who works as a hostess in karaoke nightclub. She introduces him to a policeman who will help him search for his son and will also become a friend. Li Qi Ming also meets one of his daughter’s friends, the karaoke club proprietress.
During a dinner that brings the four together, the old cop recognizes Yanhong’s fiancé: he’s the man he put in prison ten years’ earlier…
