Synopsis
After selling it off for a song, he learns that $250,000 belonging to a certain Carlo, a powerful figure of the Marseilles mafia, was hidden in its frame. The situation takes an even more unexpected turn because this Carlo is in fact Carlotta Luciani, quite some expert when it comes to vendettas, having survived more than one herself.
Of course, Carlotta sets out to look for her loot, accompanied by Marius, her inseparable henchman who’s got a southern French accent so thick you could cut it with the same kind of knife as those which he handles with diabolical precision.
And so Vincent is obliged to flee. Chance has it that he comes across a police patrol convinced that he’s one of their colleagues who everyone thought had gone on vacation. A cascade of events, due to an amazing combination of circumstances, leads him, against his will, to fill the shoes – and apartment – of one the city’s best cops for whom, it turns out, he’s a dead ringer.
Following the truly bad advice of his inseparable friend who’s never lacking when it comes to twisted ideas, he can’t resist the temptation of usurping the identity of the other man. And, after all, when trying to escape one’s pursuers, what better place to start anew could there be?
But the work Vincent carries out as a real fake representative of the forces of order leads him to this totally unexpected fact: living outside the law is no good… Even less so when he teams up with a very pretty partner, Lucie, who doesn’t exactly leave him cold.
Vincent double’s vacation doesn’t last forever… Carlotta and Marius continue to be a major challenge… The film can but rapidly become a succession of very juicy situations and an inevitable denouement.
