Synopsis
After several years living in the US, 25-year-old Viola returns home to find her country and her family in a state of upheaval. NATO forces are present in Macedonia to secure peace. Her younger brother Kokan is dangerously pursuing patriotic dreams that escalate from petty hooliganism to real terrorist ambitions.Meanwhile, their father and mother ignore family problems, wasting time in idleness and illusion. Her grandfather, once a great revolutionary, now just spends his days in front of the television. Knowing that her parents have placed their hopes on their "American daughter," Viola doesn't dare reveal the true reason for her return to Macedonia. Confused, Viola watches on helplessly as the fragmented political situation continues to disintegrate.
