Synopsis
Will it close or not close? At the small sugar refinery in Colleville, workers await the decision with a mix of anger and resignation. Factory life consists of the noise of machines, flickering instrument panels, steam rising from vats and the routine of punching in the time clock. And it’s also about men working, chatting in the locker room, sharing a drink… Those thousand ways of keeping the factory at bay so that it doesn’t devour you. Everyone here knows that the refinery will close. There are even people who hope that it shuts down quickly and to be over and done with it.
