Synopsis
After being separated at the demarcation line, Simon’s family (his wife Lea, sister-in-law, Mauricette, who is several months pregnant, their mother, Madame Schwartz, who only speaks Yiddish, and Henri, an eleven-year-old nephew) find themselves in the middle of the countryside. Maury, a local farmer, takes them in.
Two worlds encounter each other.
