Marie is a single mother living with her sixteen-year-old son. She struggles to keep standing, to rescue him from the bad situations he throws himself into. Too exhausted and thwarted to live her own life, Marie is trapped between her ex, who is still in love with her, and her teenage son beyond redemption. It becomes increasingly difficult for them to talk to or to express their love for each other. Violence and rejection seep through everything.
