Synopsis

Everything started at the "bistrot du phare", during Booz's concert. Ben, the trumpet player dies onstage. The next day, his wife Esther plants the trumpet on Ben's grave and takes Booz's hand : "Now you must take care of me".

Un chauffeur de taxi en boubou et lunettes bleues roule à vive allure dans les rues de Dakar. À côté de lui, une jeune fille lit le journal, indifférente au monde extérieur. Dans le vieux taxi sans pare-brise, un compteur made in Moscou compte des unités irrégulières. Sur la banquette arrière glisse un saxophone doré. Le chauffeur évite tous les obstacles et la fille reste impassible. Alors il rompt le silence : Même le vent qui traverse, je le vois.
