Synopsis
Ireland, 1924.
Harry lost his favorite son in the Great War and Annie, his wife, then died of sorrow. All that he has left is his youngest son Gus and their little house on the outskirts of the village of Skillet.
Little by little, Harry withdraws into himself and a ludicrous idea trots around in his head: why not choose an enemy? After all, if love has left him nothing, perhaps hate will give him back a taste for life.
After much reflection, he fixes his sights on George, the village’s most powerful and successful man.
