Synopsis
On Monday, August 21, 1911, the Mona Lisa vanishes from the Louvre. The scandal makes world headlines. The thief, Vincenzo Peruggia, an italian worker at the Louvre, hides the painting in his bedroom for two years while the world's police try to track it down. One evening, a few weeks after the theft, someone knocks at his door : Perrugia has just enough time to cover the Mona Lisa with a sheet and put it down on his table.
