Synopsis
We scale the vertigo-inducing heights of skyscrapers under construction and plunge into the depths of the subway, attend political demonstrations and popular dances… Be they journalist, mayor or taxi driver, various migrants invite us to share “their” Sao Paulo, one of the largest cities in the world. They’ve come to live here, in the southern part of Brazil, fleeing the droughts of the north-east or just to seek their fortune. Or simply to find work because the greatest economic and industrial activity is concentrated in Brazil’s “fantastic south”.
