Synopsis
It may be the all-important baccalaureat year, but David’s had enough of study and arguing with his mother, Elena. Only one thing counts: dancing.
With his group, the Urban Cyber Breakers, he dreams of only one thing: to win the competition that will take him and his gang to the World Battle finals in New York.
But before reaching the States and finding glory, David’s got to do battle with a rival group, survive his mother’s possessive love and live his passion for the beautiful Samia…
"Le défi" is a musical in the great Hollywood tradition transposed to a modern-day setting. A fundamental vehicle for modern social identity, hip-hop allows Blanca Li to offer a fresh view of young people and life in the suburbs.
