Four French films have been selected for the Tribeca Film Festival (May 1-9, 2004).
Founded by Martin Scorcese and Robert de Niro, this festival is named after the Tribeca district of New York, the site of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
This year, the festival (which is competitive for first and second films) will be held from May 1st through 9.
"Demi-tarif" ("1/2 Price") by Isild le Besco has been selected for the Official Competition, "Feux rouges" ("Red Lights") by Cédric Kahn and "Le Défi" ("The Dance Challenge") by Blanca Li are to be presented in the Showcase Section and "Kaena, la Prophétie" ("Kaena, The Prophecy") by Chris Delaporte and Pascal Pinon will be screened in the Midnight Section.
Carole Bouquet, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Isild le Besco and Cédric Kahn will be present at the event to support their films.
