Synopsis
Esther, Lamar and Zed live together. Tired of hustling for small-time stakes, they decide to move up a league. For advice they turn to Armand, a former mobster, now on the straight and narrow. Esther, Lamar and Zed all come from the happy-go-lucky "overworld". These people have one thing in common: they all have the gift of the gab. In other words, they all live in a world of make-believe.

About
I know I've been incredibly lucky, being able to shoot two films in three years. I can hardly believe it. I started writing the script of "The Loudmouths" on december 12th, 1997, and the first press preview was shown a year later, on December 14th, 1998. It was a mammoth task that was only accomplished thanks to Eric Atlan and the whole production team. They threw all their energy into it. What also helped to bring it off was that I worked with the same technicians as on "Les démons de Jésus" : Dominique Gaborieau as sound mixer, Bernard Cavalié as D.P. and Stéphane Sauvaire as first A.D. We're all going in the same direction. The shoot was a joy - I coudn't complain if I tried! A movie is, and always should be, a very special moment.
