Franck shows up in a gossip magazine photo behind a two-timing TV star at a football game. Unfortunately for Franck, he should have been at his night watchman’s job at the time, so when his boss sees the photo in DQ Magazine, he suddenly finds himself out of a job. Vowing revenge, he sets out to find Michel Verdier, the notorious ace paparazzi who unwittingly got him fired. But from the moment Franck walks into the offices of DQ Magazine, discovering its world of stolen images, secrets for sale and glamorous love affairs played out in public, his life is transformed. Like a true paparazzi, Franck tracks Michel Verdier. When he finally comes into contact with this super pro, Franck quickly — too quickly — succumbs to the lure of adventure, easy money and easier women. Michel Verdier, reckless as ever, is about to create another unscrupulous, out of control paparazzi.

About
I think the most important thing was not to make a vengeful, preachy film but a brash social comedy. Personally, I can’t stand people who go on about themselves and tell everyone what to do. I’m all for a bit of grating humour! We were all determined not to make a comedy film that was just a string of gags about paparazzi. We wanted it to be about ordinary people and their lives, too — a comedy firmly anchored in society. The story is mostly based on a meeting be-tween two men who would normally never have met. Franck and Michel are from completely different worlds, and the space be-tween them is a mine of comic material. They make an explosive combination! (Vincent Lindon - excerpt from press kit)
