Synopsis
A film director tries to cope with his frantic producer, too-amorous actors, and a disaster-prone crew as he rushes to get his deeply symbolic hockey movie "Dolores" done in time for the Venice Film Festival.

About
"There was a double decision: making a comedy film and making a film about the movies, paying tribute to my own idea of the movies. It may be an irreverent tribute, but it's not a satire or caricature. I see it all in a happy, cheerful light. The film I probably had most in mind when shooting "Ice Rink" was Pasolini's "Ricotta" sequence in "Laviamoci il cervello," in which a film is being shot on the Passion of Christ while one of characters, an extra, thinks only of eating ricotta cheese. It has a mixture of the sacred and profane that I liked enormously."
