Synopsis
Samir and Maurice sell stolen stereos for a living. One day things turn sour and they are sentenced to one year of community work in kid’s clubs. About
Charité Biz’ness is an unpretentious, light-hearted, picturesque movie with a very cartoonish spirit. I make films for the audience, not for the critics and Sam, the character I play, is a cool guy, a smart, streetwise downtown dandy.
(Smaïn, excerpt from press kit)
In my career, I’ve always tried to do one thing: make people laugh. Massipu is a ridiculous but touching character. I work by intuition, mostly. For instance, when I create a character for my “Small Ads”, I’ve no idea how he’s going to behave. But as soon as I’m in costume and made up, his voice and behavior come to me.
(Elie Semoun, excerpt from press kit)
