I, Bajou
Synopsis
Bajou, raised a small town in Tunisia during the French protectorate and the early days of independence, is determined to make his mark on the world. Right from childhood, Bajou was convinced that there are two sorts of men in the world - those to whom the Good Lord has granted everything, and everyone else. Bajou considers himself to be one of the latter, who, precisely because of this absence of divine attention, are entitled to do everything and anything. So Bajou, in cahoots with his cousin Marcel, sets out to become "somebody".
Bajou is ready to do whaterever it takes to succeed. Betraying bosses in order to win promotion, bying the woman he wants for a wife, lying, covering-up, manipulating. Anyhting provided that Bajou and his family prosper, and make their way in the world...
