Synopsis
Port-à-Piment, a small provincal town in Haiti under the Duvalier regime. A bloody period. Whole families are decimated, the arbitrary becomes institutional. Sarah is 8. Her parents have had to flee the country under a cloud of scandal. Her father, François Jansson, a discredited officer, leaves Sarah and her two sisters in the care of her grandmother Camille Desrouillere. For the young girls, this is a start of a period of dramatic, amusing and absurd experiences...
