Synopsis
It was five years ago. I went to Beaubourg for an exhibition Africa Remix, impatient and curious at the idea of what I was going to discover. In the paths of the exhibition, as I anticipated it, confusedly, something happened that today still I would not completely know how to define. I found myself in front of a multitudes of works which, in their way, all spoke to me a little about myself: of the times which I spent in Douala in the eighties, of Paris where I live, questions that I asked myself on the way all this influenced my sight. I wanted to understand why. It is with contemporary artists whose personal history, bound closely or by far to Africa, made echo towards mine, that I chose to speak about it. This movie is an extract of our conversations.
