Synopsis

He’s free. He’s all eyes and ears. He’s all wonder and questioning. He is… nine year old Clément.
What will he become? What will he do? How do we find happiness? He wants to know, he wants to understand. So, he spies on people. With a camera in hand, his eyes wide open, he slips through the streets of the small, provincial town he lives in, following “grown-up people”, studying them. He’s curious, Clément, a detective trying to find the secret to happiness.
What adventure awaits him on the corner of the street? Who has a response to his questions?
Mr Dubois, the bookseller who likes Oscar Wilde?
Dame Poulet who kisses him affectionately?
The police chief who peers behind closed doors and knows all about peoples’ lives?
The concierge, the town’s loud-speaker gossip?
Sandra, the optician who watches existence pass her by through her store window?
Astrid, his girlfriend with the beautiful face?
Or mommy who cries each night when his father leaves?
Who can answer his questions? He doesn’t know. He’ll find an answer, but not the one he was expecting, and grow a little older in the process.
