Synopsis
This is a comedy about the funeral of grandfather Surdutowicz, an event that gives his family and friends the chance to meet up once again. It describes the world of an Ashkenasi Jewish family in Paris today. You don’t really die when you have succeeded in passing on your culture and your identity to those you have brought into the world.
