One by one, a railway worker checks the axle bearings of a camp train. A slip of paper is hastily thrown out of one of the leaded wagons. It carries an address and a few words scribbled on the back: “I’m alive and I love you. Sarah”. Julien doesn’t know it but his fate is sealed. As the days go by, a strange love story unfolds that will tie him forever to this Sarah whom he has never seen. At the indicated address, the elderly parents have vanished, but Sarah’s son, a little boy of four is there, sole survivor of the raid. Along with him, Julien will embark on a long journey that will take him to the end of the war. And to Sarah. Festival selections |
