The 8th Unifrance Short Film Award will be presented Thursday May 20, 2010, at Club Unifrance in Cannes.
This annual prize sponsored by Unifrance will be announced this evening at Club Unifrance in Cannes.
The Grand Prize, which has been won by Valérie Mréjen for French Courvoisier (Aurora Films), offers broadcasts on four international television channels: RTI (Italy), Canal+ Poland, SBS (Australia), and RTP2 "Onda Curta" (Portugal).
The RTP2 Special Prize, which will be presented to 8 et des poussières by Laurent Teyssier (Tita Productions, in co-production with Glasshouse and La Planète Rouge), will be broadcast on the Portuguese network.
The SBS Special Prize, awarded to L'Homme qui dort by Inès Sedan (Sacrebleu Productions), will be broadcast on the Australian network.
The jury convened on April 30 in Paris to judge the 14 films selected by members of the Unifrance Short Film Committee. The jury included Ludovica Fonda (RTI), Urszula Skassa (Canal+ Poland), João Garção Borges (RTP2), and Marie Stroud (SBS Television), who will present the award this evening.
