From November 21 to 23, the Torino FeatureLab program, dedicated to the development of first and second feature films, celebrated its 17th edition.
Unifrance was delighted to support the feature-length projects Cold Ashes Can Cause Forest Fires, written by Ashmita Guha Neogi and produced by Salt For Sugar Films, and Sea, Star, Woman written by Jeunghae Yim and produced by 5 à 7 Films, both awarded.
Unifrance's support for the Torino Film Lab consists in awarding a grant to the two French companies selected for the FeatureLab, program, covering 50 percent of the registration and travel costs for selected authors and producers who are members of Unifrance.
FeatureLab focuses on first and second film projects at an advanced stage of development: scripted drama, creative documentaries, experimental films, animation, and all forms of cinematographic creation...
The directors and producers of both projects have the opportunity to develop their projects and prepare them for international markets, and to meet potential co-producers, distributors, and other industry professionals at the Meeting Event.
This support is part of Unifrance's approach to helping emerging companies make the transition from short to feature-length films.
