Some recent highlights for French films around the world.

Kristin Scott Thomas has been nominated as Best Actress at the Golden Globe Awards for the French film Il y a longtemps que je t'aime (I’ve Loved You So Long), with the film also nominated in the Best Foreign Film category.

The short film Ata by Guillaume Giovanetti and Cagla Zencirci picked up the Grand Prize at the Con-Can Movie Festival in Japan.

The transalpine distributor of Sylvie Verheyde’s film Stella, Nanni Moretti’s Sacher Distribution has protested a decision by the Censorship Commission to ban the film to minors under 15.
